About Me

Picture of Peter Ming

Hello and welcome to my site! My name is Peter Ming, I'm a Swiss, recently staying in the Philippines, and I'm a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer. Before I started diving, I was working with UBS, the biggest bank in Switzerland. I did there my apprenticeship and also several jobs after that.

In autumn 1998, I started diving in the Domenican Republic. Because I really liked it, I did already my first two diving courses (PADI Open Water Diver and PADI Advanced Open Water Diver) there. Later on, after some dives, I did my PADI Rescue Diver Course in the Philippines in 2001, to come back in 2002 and complete my PADI Divemaster Course, to get a PADI Professional.

After that, I was a dive guide in Alona Beach (Panglao, Bohol), to get some experience. And finally, in May 2003, I took my Instructor Developement Course, passed the Instructor Examination and got a PADI Instructor. As newly certified PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor, I got another part of my experience in Dumaguete (Negros Oriental), teaching people how to dive and bring them to Apo Island, one of the Philippines' most famous divesite. In September 2004, I got the PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer Rating, which shows a certain amount of experience and knowledge in teaching people how to dive.

But please note, that the answer may take some time due to limited communication possibilities at some places in this country, or because I just might be out for diving on the big, wide sea for some days.
